Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I’m a reporter at the San Antonio Express-News, where I cover real estate, development and design. I also write the mysa.com Nest Fest blog about real estate, where I often showcase what my editor and I fondly call “house porn.”

I grew up in Houston, got a journalism degree at the University of Texas at Austin and have since written a few thousand newspaper stories.

I love writing, reading, running exceedingly slow and the quiet time after the kids finally fall asleep. I wish I had more time for travel, hiking, bad reality television, gardening and sitting on my butt drinking Earl Gray tea. I have two cute children, an immortal cat and an old house in perpetual renovation.

This blog will be about all of that, with maybe a little surfing thrown in for fun.
