I swear, the freaking flies are driving me nuts in my house.

I have no idea where they are coming from, but each time I sit down at night to do some writing, one zooms over to find me.

Sometimes you just need a quiet spot, away from the kids, the flies, the mail that you haven’t opened. I have a few places I love to escape to with my laptop when I have a chance.

One of them is the Central Library, also known as Enchilada Red. There’s a desk up on the third floor that gives you just a peek of the amazing Dale Chihuly sculpture, Fiesta Tower. I like how it sticks up from the corner of your eye, with its wild colors and exuberent shapes, like a friend with a crazy hairdo.
